After receiving the shoes, I read other comments indicating these shoes were difficult to get on. Yes, they are however never one to give up, I figured out a way to get them on. Once on, they are very comfortable, the foot bed is very comfortable, and they are very light on the foot. The toe is quite roomy. Can only wear with thin socks not my wool socks. I debated whether to return them but have decided to keep them and continue with the exercise of putting them on.

I recently took my Teva sandals on a hiking trip, and they exceeded my expectations. The rugged soles provided excellent traction, even on rocky terrain. The adjustable straps ensured a secure fit, and they were comfortable for long hikes. These sandals are durable and held up well to the demands of the trail. They're now my go-to footwear for outdoor adventures. A 5-star review is well-deserved for their performance during hiking.

In an effort to replace my worn out, beloved pair of Ahnu sports sandals, which are no longer manufactured, I recently purchased the following shoes, all in size 9M:Teva Omnium SlateMerrell Women's J034170 Choprock Shandal Hiking ShoeMerrell Women's All Out Blaze Sieve Water ShoeMerrell womens Water Shoe HYDROTREKKER LTR SHANDALBrown Oak Women's Closed Toe Outdoor Hiking Water Shoes Sport SandalsNorthside Santa Rosa Sport SandalTeva Terra Float Active Lace Wild Dove Womens Sporty SandalNote that I have a 2” arch to support in this review. Yes, it really measures 2”. Even the podiatrist was surprised. Okay, here’s the rundown:The most rugged, most sportlike, and least sandal-like were the Merrells. If you’re looking for stability, support, and good traction, look at Merrell. All of them ran longer and more narrow, particularly in the heel. The Choprock felt lighter and more open than the All Out Blaze or the Hydrotrekker. The Brown Oak pair felt far larger in general and wider, specifically. My feet flopped around in them. Little molding or cushioning in the footbed; but then, that’s relative to the Merrells. The Northside Santa Rosa was the most open and least sporty of them all. No molding or cushioning in the footbed. No real support. Scratchy interior. Better protection than open sandals, though. If you need to seriously lockdown your ankles, look to the Teva Omnium Slate. I liked the security, but it didn’t allow enough space in the instep for me. These took slightly more work to put on with the additional buckle. So, weigh whether you need stability or convenience more. Finally, and my favorite, the Teva Terra Float Active Lace felt immediately comfortable: soft interior; snug, but not tight; ample support; sufficient space in the instep to allow for an additional ¾ orthotic for arch support; supportive, but not clunky; plenty of breathability; more coverage (in mesh) for the forefoot than my Ahnu pair, which should help keep out debris; sufficient traction for my everyday activities.Ahnu had been an offshoot of Teva, and is now manufactured by Teva. So, it makes sense that the Tevas were a good replacement for my old Ahnus. I’m grateful I found a pair that would keep my feet comfortable.

My favorite shoe. It is well built and durable. My first pair eventually met with an early demise. My puppy got ahold of them. Plenty of toe room and very comfortable. Stylish too.

I bought these sandals to wear on a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon, They were comfortable, dried quickly, and were easy to rinse and keep clean. While Teva says they are great for day hikes, I found them not supportive enough for hiking, especially over rocks or in creek beds. They lasted 7 of the 8 days, and then the elastic cord broke supporting the mid part of my foot. Will be reaching out to see if they will replace. My recommendation would be to only use for casual, not for recreational use, which is disappointing for Teva brand.

Great sandal but not offered in width needed

the Teva's fit well and are of good construction. This is my 3rd pair and I use them to walk on the treadmill because they have such good arch support and are not heavy

I ordered these and the Keen Whisper sandals, as they were the only two types of women's hiking sandals with reputable names that kept coming up in my Amazon searches. I had to return both. I should have trusted the reviewers -- the most frequently-reported issues with both ended up being deal-breaker issues for me, too, but I kept hoping they would somehow work better for me than the average person! The Teva is extremely hard to put on, fits really tightly over the top of the foot, and is bound to cause blisters. Ordering a larger size would only result in a way-too-long shoe. The Keen has a disappointingly flat, thin sole, and the upper part of the sole has uncomfortable ridges on it. I ended up going to a discount store and right away finding exactly the hiking sandal I'd been dreaming of, for less than half the price of the Teva and Keen on Amazon. It's made by Clarks -- a closed-toe, open-air sandal with a super supportive sole, fits beautifully and true to size with no rub or stiffness from minute one. I didn't want to take them off the first day I wore them! And now I see that they are even less expensive on Amazon! I have no idea why I didn't come across this shoe in my several Amazon searches for women's hiking sandals, and why, mow that I know what to look for, these seem to be reviewed so much less than the Tevas and Keens (but do get the same number stars on average). I highly recommend them! They are: Clarks Women's Solan Sail Flat Sandal (and don't let the word "flat" throw you off!). they are lovely on the feet as far as feels go! Looks? As good as this kind of shoe can get!

This is my fourth pair of Teva Omniums and I love them so much better than similar brands. The arch support is great when new and they really do hold up pretty well under all sorts of use. They pretty much replace tennis shoes for me and I also routinely manage to run them through water too.A few complaints:I'm not sure Teva quality is as good as it used to be. These seem a little tight. I'm hoping they'll loosen a little with wear, but am still using my last pair. Never had that problem before. I wish they would offer them in more colors. It always seems like the slate is the only available color. I prefer the tan (although that last pair completely lost its sole (no glue?) after only 4 or 5 wearings). Wish the price would level off a little. Kind of expensive for the quality. Still, they do hold up for awhile - soles may get a little soft, colors will fade, straps will fray a bit.

I initially ordered my regular size (7.5). Because I have a wide foot, I decided to order my regular size even the product description mentioned it ran large. Sure even, the 7.5 was too long AND too wide. I returned the shoe and re-ordered a size7. Much to my consternation the second pair arrived and was labeled inside the sandal as being size 7.5. However, it did fit differently than the first 7.5 pair. I cannot explain this irregularity in the sizing, but It seems to be a sturdy sandal with good arch support so I decided to keep it. Beware, you may have to deal with returns due to this strange sizing situation regardless of which size you order.
