As someone who is regularly referred to as Adam Sandler, I believe I am an expert on the art of acomfortable outfit. As a high school senior working on mastering the ultimate comfortable outfit, I have come to a singular problem. It isn't hard to find comfy sweats or sweatshirts, but finding comfortable shoes has posed an issue. Fortunately for me, I have found the single best pair of shoes to grace the earth, Bearpaw slippers. These slippers are the real deal. I have seriously never found a more comfortable pair of shoes. The fur along the inside, the memory foam insoles, and the easy slip-on and slip-off quality are all the ingredients needed to cook up the ultimate cozy experience. And with a price of $50, you may think that Bearpaw slippers are overpriced, but you won’t understand the hype until you get a pair on your feet. This review is my honest and critical opinion of the Bearpaw slippers that have changed my life.On my journey to find the comfort shoe of my dreams, I had some criteria that needed to be met. The first and probably the most important quality was comfort. These slippers would rate a 5-star in the comfort category. Fur lines the inside and keeps my feet cozy and snug. Living in North Dakota--basically Antarctica--the warmth of these slippers is very valuable to me. The memory foam insoles add a layer of absorption to lessen the impact on my feet, keeping me up and moving all day with no achy pains. As an athlete and a student, I get a lot of steps in over the day; these slippers definitely keep me moving smoothly. The next criterion that was important to me was durability. Rain, snow, and ice are all part of life in the Midwest, so purchasing flimsy, cheap shoes is a waste of money. These slippers have an outsole made of rubber. As experts state, rubber is extremely waterproof and ideal for any rainy weather. This ensures that the moisture I’m stepping on does not invade the coziness inside the shoe. When purchasing these shoes, I worried that the suede exterior would get water stains. Surprisingly, these slippers have yet to be stained by any liquid. I’ve worn them in rain, through puddles, and on snowy grass without any problems. The quality of these slippers is unmatched. Finally, the idea of style and versatility crossed my mind when purchasing these shoes. Obviously, slippers are not the shoes for fashion-forward events, but when worn to the appropriate occasion, these shoes can definitely compliment your appearance. I wear them to school, practice, or just around town. If you are choosing to wear slippers, you probably aren’t very concerned about looking chic and lively. However, I have received much praise for these wonderful shoes. For example, one of my very fashionable and trendy friends, Lexi, once told me that she loves my shoes and needs a pair. These comments just affirm my love for these shoes even more. I find these slippers very cute, perfect for a lazy-day outfit that matches your “I need a nap” vibe.Overall, I would recommend these slippers to every single person in the world. They truly add a level of comfort to any outfit and keep me feeling and looking good and relaxed. The coziness, durability, and style are enough for me to rank these shoes at the top of my list. If you’re going to listen to anyone regarding a comfortable fit, you might as well listen to me, an Adam Sandler wanna-be.
These are corduroy on the top. They have a sturdy bottom yet the bottom is comfortable to walk in, not like a stiff board as some are. I had a pair and they lasted me years. They eventually wear into your foot like an old pair of snarkers.
Bought these to keep at work because the feeling of having my bare feet in sheepskin is extremely soothing to me, and someone that I work with stresses me out a lot. I love the subtle sparkles, and I love how snug and cozy they are. I switch back into regular shoes when leaving my office though. I tried walking down a long hallway to a bathroom in these and couldn't walk as fast as I wanted to. They are good for shuffling around slowly at home, or for sitting at a desk like I do. They're not too hot to wear, even though my office gets quite warm. I have a thermometer on my desk so I can tell you it gets up to about 80F in there. I tried enclosed Bearpaw boots and they were unbearably hot but the slippers are open in the back so that's not an issue.
I have owned several pairs of these over the years and they are well made, warm, soft and dependable.I highly recommend!Great brand and slippers overall.
Note that these fit different than the same slippers from a few years back. I had mine in my usual size 7 for about 3-4 years, and they were looking a little rough/matted after years daily use. So I decided to order a new pair in the corduroy finish, also size 7.This time, the size 7 was so small I could barely get my foot in, with an inch of overhang at the heel. Some other differences are 1) the tread, and 2) while my old ones had a Bearpaw tag on them, which looked nicer, these have the logo printed right on top. So clearly these are technically different shoes being marketed as the same thing. Frustrating that brands just can’t sell the same staple item year after year.I had to return and exchange for an 8 which fit much better. So I’d recommend going a full size up from your “usual” size. If you have the older version of these like I did, go a full size up from whatever size you previously had.Other than that, the inner is wool, they're comfy and warm, and easy to slide on and off. Note that the wool inside the footbed does get matted down quite quickly, like within a month, so they don't stay fluffy for long and will loosen up a bit as it gets matted down.
My second pair. I buy a new pair every couple years or so. These are high quality. I use mine heavily. In cold weather, I wear them almost all day (work from home) and go to the mailbox. Have held up really well. No seams popping, or the sole wearing out. The inside is very plush and will compress with wear. To clean mine, I just use Shout on the inside part and use a scrub brush with hot water. Give the outside a cursory cleaning when needed, often dry brushed - otherwise, just use the same method. Have used the washer before and it doesn't get them as clean. To dry, I stuff with hand towels to absorb excess and then put in dryer (I have a rack that stops the drum from spinning and just applies heat). Works great.
I got these slippers for my mom for her birthday. She has had them for over a month and they still look brand new. They are super comfortable and the color is to die for!
These slippers are so comfy! They’re perfect for Florida “winters” wearing around the house or to run errands. The corduroy is so cute!
I will never buy a different slipper. After my Bearpaws finally fell apart after 4ish years I reluctantly purchased a new pair. Sadly the replacement (fur lining) was no match for my original (Sherpa lining) favorites. Every time I took my foot out of the shoe, huge clumps of the fur would fall out from the toe area. After about 2 weeks the entire inside toe area was a patchwork of bald spots. Unfortunately I was way past the accepted return time and no longer had the original box. I emailed Barepaw directly and they promptly refunded my account after I submitted pictures. I repurchased a new pair (Sherpa lining) and am happily wiggling my fur free toes in my new quality crafted slippers.
I buy myself a new pair every year. The first year I only wear them barefoot, to keep them nice and cozy inside. The second year I wear them with socks (and buy myself a new barefoot pair). The third year they become my "gardening" slippers...yes, I garden in my slippers because they're so comfortable! (And I'm not doing anything mucky.) And even after that they aren't worn out. They've gotten wider and looser, but the sole hasn't worn down much and the stitches are still holding. I wear these constantly in the house, they get more wear than any of my shoes do.
