This Whittin Canvas She is my second barefoot shoe. I resisted barefoot shoes for a long time because I thought they were just for young runners, but for a senior like me who cares more about comfort than fashion, they have made me a fan. However, I find it essential to wear them with orthotics. Mine are custom made. The liner in the shoes are removable. These shoes are not meant to be sturdy, supporting or even long lasting. But they are super comfortable with a toe that allows plenty of wiggle room. My first pair was like walking on a cloud, but the mesh left my feet chilly when the temperature got colder. I didn’t need boots, just a heavier material. This does the trick. They’re not as light and soft, but when the canvas gets wet, my feet will be dry. They look to be perfectly well made. The red is a great shade and, funny, flat and wide as they are, my friends admire them and have asked where they can get them for themselves. One slightly confusing thing was in the Amazon website listing. I chose a size 10 1/2, but when I went to checkout it was listed as size 11. Fortunately, I saw the number 42 listed, and I know that to be my size. I tried them on as soon as they arrived, and, happily, it was a perfect fit. I don’t know why the size was listed as 11, but if that happens to you, ignore it.
I’ve tried all the nanos when they were popular and really struggled to find a comfortable zero drop shoe. These are it! Not only are they perfectly designed with a wide toe box, they are THE most comfortable shoes I own. Even if you weren’t looking for a lifting shoe, my husband and I both had a brand new pair for our trip to NYC, and they were the best walking shoes. For this price point, it’s a no brainer! This is my 4th pair as I’m trying out different styles and colors. Highly recommend!
These shoes are great for casual comfort. I also love the color. I gave a 4 instead of 5 only because one of the metal bands around the shoelaces came off the first time I wore them. Other than that, quality is good.
Okayyyyy y’all. I’m very picky. I’ve been wearing barefoot shoes and barefoot sandals for over 10 years. I’ve tried the different brands of well known barefoot shoes in the past. I’ve been needing to get a new pair lately and I did get a pair recently by a different brand here on Amazon and they were super stiff and bulky. I got rid of them. Decided to try these.. LOVE THEM! I’ve only worn them around the house, I have yet to take them out for a long walk. We’ll see how that goes but I’m sure it’ll be great from the way they feel so far. They seem very well-made and especially at their price point, it’s a great deal! I hope they keep it that way because I plan on coming back for more of this brand’s shoes, and at this price point you get two for the price of one of the other well-known barefoot shoe brands. I don’t understand what other people are talking about in terms of the look of them. If you’re used to barefoot shoes, this is typical (the wider toe box). And I actually find these particular ones appealing in looks, they’re very cute. They’re flexible, light, and true to the barefoot feel. The outer sole rubber feels like it has great grip. The only thing I do want you to take into consideration is to opt for the wide, even if you’re usually not a wide size. My feet aren’t wide technically (they’re not narrow either) but I opted for wide and I think that’s what’s contributing to adequate room in the toes and that proper barefoot feeling. If you do have a wide foot, unless it’s super wide, maybe still give it (this wide size) a go and see how it feels. If you have feet on the narrower side, then their regular sizes will probably be just fine.
Love the look of them, and they're nice and wide and comfortable. Great for a little day outing, shopping, a movie.Note there's really no support at all, though, and the design throws your heals back a little oddly. I made the mistake of wearing them to Rob Zombie, and all my head banging fervor resulted in a badly sprained ankle. But I still like them a lot. Just won't wear them for anything athletic.
I really like these. However, the 9 was too small and they don’t offer half sizes. Would definitely order if they did! Super comfy and you can tell they’re well-made too!
I continue to buy this brand because of how it fits my wide foot. Stylish and cute. I just keep adding colors and now leatherette. It’s not as soft as their fabric shoes and may be slightly stiff at the beginning. Nice quality for price.
Wide, Flat feet run in my family. I was wearing sketchers wide fit for awhile but my feet and back were always killing me after work. Even after adding gel insoles. Even with the wide fit sketchers, my toes were still squeezed close together and I would occasionally get impacted toenail. After a week of working extra shifts and overtime I just couldn't take it anymore and decided to try these minimalist shoes out of desperation. Trying them on I honestly thought they looked kinda goofy. Like baby shoes for adults. I think the toe box looks wider from the pov of the wearer. They don't look as bad from other angles. After several weeks of wearing them I don't even care how they look. They could look like clown shoes and I wouldn't care. No more foot or back pain. This is my new every day shoe. I wear them to work. I wear them to walk the dog. The soles are pretty thin and so is the canvas of the shoe, similar to a converse, so I don't wear them when it's wet outside/been raining because rain/puddles I'm sure would soak thru the shoes so I just opt for my sketchers on those days since they are thicker and have more lift off the ground. But honestly I wish I would have known about these minimalist shoes years ago. I'm sure I will be buying another pair soon in a different color. If you have wide, flat feet, try these shoes!
The cream suede is the second pair of these barefoot shoes that I purchased. I originally bought the white sneaker style. I had so many compliments on my white, that I needed to get a second pair. The suede is, obviously, a different material than the white mesh. It took a few where's to break the material in, but they are very comfortable now. I do wash my shoes in the washing machine, as I like clean shoes. The eyelets on my white did rust a little bit, but it doesn't bother me.Very likely buying a third pair and the near future. Just need to pick out the next color!
WHITIN Women's Canvas Barefoot Shoes are a fantastic find for those who love the barefoot shoe experience with a touch of style. The canvas material gives these shoes a casual, versatile look, perfect for various settings. They're designed to mimic a natural, barefoot feeling, offering a unique blend of comfort and grounding. One aspect to consider is that the minimalist design, while offering a natural foot movement, might not provide the same level of cushioning as traditional sneakers. If you're transitioning from regular shoes, there might be an adjustment period. Ideal for those embracing the barefoot lifestyle and looking for a chic, comfortable option for everyday wear.
