I decided to purchase these after reading many, many reviews on several different orthopedic type flip-flop sandals. Had them on my list and when they went on sale I bought them! Super duper purchase! Great price, great arch support! Wore them everyday, right up through mid December. They are still in perfect condition waiting fir me to start wearing them in the spring. I ordered my regular size and they fit perfect! I ordered black but will probably buy additional colors this coming summer! Exceptional value and comfort for the price!
These flip flops are incredibly comfortable and well made. The arch support allows me to wear these all day every day. They run true to size. I can't recommend them enough!
I've been ordering Oofos for years now, despite the price hikes. They now cost $60-ish, whereas these shevalues cost me only $20. I have high arches, some arthritis in my feet, and am subject to a lot of metatarsal pain unless wearing shoes that can alleviate that problem.Comparing the two:Oofos work well, despite no obvious metatarsal support, because they mold to your feet, and they give a soft and cushy comfort without loss of support. unfortunately, I've needed to replace them often, because the toe thong part breaks easily. Current price $59.95Shevalues are not quite as soft, though still cushy enough for comfort. They do have adequate arch support (I've got very high arches, and really need that), and a bonus is that they have a gentle metatarsal support bump as well. The only down side is that the treads are very deep and firm, and you need to be very careful to fully lift your feet when walking in them, or you will almost certainly stumble and fall. No lazy foot scuffing!! Current price $19.95So considering that I can get 3 pairs of shevalues sandals for the cost of 1 pair of Oofos, the choice is clear.
On a family member's recommendations, I tried recovery sandals from Oofos. In fact, I tried at least 6 different styles. I tried Hokas. I tried Brooks. I tried Adidas. I tried Crocs's version (love most of their stuff, but not this). And nothing quite worked for me. In fact, one day out in Oofos, and my feet were in the most excruciating pain of my life (and I've had chronic pain from an old injury for about 20 years).I didn't have high hopes for these. But they blew me away!My first thought was, they aren't as "squishy" as Oofos. But as they warm up from your body heat, they get squishier (in hours, not days or weeks). They have a decent bounce to the heel. The Oofos are very narrow shoes which is part of why they hurt me -- even the thong flip-flops like these would manage to twist my feet in weird ways so my heel would keep slipping off them while simultaneously being held too tight. And I tried multiple sizes, so that wasn't the issue. These are just right in the width department. I'd say I have wide feet, but not anything super-wide. A wide-width shoe is usually plenty, and I'm even fine in a lot of non-wide shoed. The best thing though? These don't only focus on the heel and things like plantar fasciitis. They're also great if you have metatarsalgia or Morton's neuroma (I have all three at the moment) because they take pressure off the ball of your foot and they include a built in metatarsal pad right in the foam base of the shoe. If you're not familiar, this helps take some pressure off the ball of your foot by spreading it across a wider area.I'm not saying I'd wear these out for a long walk, all-day outings, or anything like that. But as far as recovery sandals go, after trying all the "big guys," somehow these are what came out on top. Liked them enough I'm ordering another pair.
I owned a similar pair but they shrunk when I left them sitting in the sun for a couple hours. Unfortunately they aren't available when I went to reorder them because they were so comfortable. This pair showed up as an alternative and I gave them a try. I am so glad I found another maker of these VERY comfortable flip flops! When I first put them on, they were a tiny bit snug but then they formed to my feet quickly and painlessly.I wear these all the time and for many hours walking around. I can tell you - they are so comfortable and don't hurt my feet at all. I will definitely order from them again.
The top strap rubs the tops of my feet. After day 1 of wearing these, the tops of my feet are raw and this hurts. So disappointed that is happening... and it's not like I have fat feet. Bc of this, I do not recommend. Also, I do not find these to be orthopedically "supportive" as other reviews claim. I wish I could return these but I wore them all day.
I have bad feet. Hallux limitus, sesamoid issues, Morton's neuroma, etc. I have spent a fortune on Birkenstocks, Naots, Danskos, etc. These sandals work just fine and are so inexpensive. I was shocked at the support They are very cushiony. I normally wear an 8 in women's. I have slightly narrow feet. These are fine but if I reorder I'll go down a half size.
The footbed is very comfortable. Good arch support without being too high. Easy to slide my foot into. However, the toe post is thick and kind of uncomfortable, making between my toes ache a bit, and since my feet are already painful I’m not sure I want to add another ache. I’m still wearing them around the house before deciding whether or not to return them.I’ve worn them around the house, so can’t return them, but I would. The toe post is so uncomfortable that I stopped wearing them.
These have been a life-changer for my plantar fasciitis, and overall, I'm very pleased! I do have a couple of issues with them, but for my feet, they have been a HUGE help.I was looking for houseshoes for cooking and cleaning in the evenings. I settled on these due to a combination of the price and reviews, and I think I made the right choice. The heels don't FEEL particularly soft, but wearing them, they're very comfortable and don't hurt my heels at all. Even when my feet already hurt before putting these on, I usually get some relief after puttering around in them for a few minutes. The arch support sits a bit too far forward, but the straps tend to be most comfortable when my feet are a little further back. So I have to push the shoe back onto my foot using the baseboards a couple times a night lol The strap does squeak a bit against my foot, so I won't be trying these for any all-day walking excursions or anything.
I love this sandal. I use it as slippers due to my feet being hot/sweaty in most other type of slippers. I have an arch in my foot which is supported nicely by this sandal. Feels light weight but looks amazing. I normally wear a 6.5 - 7 in women shoe and I’m 5’2’’ 120lbs. I purchased a size 5 - 5.5 which had a European size 36 on the bottom of the sandal. I ordered a size down due to reading reviews stating this sandal ran big but from my experience I could honestly go up a size. My feet fits just at the edges of the sandals which isn’t a deal breaker for me. Next time I order these sandals again, I will go a size up for sure. I hope this helps someone out.
